Abstract

This article presents part of the process of materialization of the body in the cosmological perspective that is the basis of thought and way of living of the Desana people, also shared by other ethnicities in the Alto Rio Negro Indigenous Land, Amazonas. Previously, my grandfather and my father published knowledge about this cosmology (FERNANDES & FERNANDES, 1996 and 2006). Being part of this continuity, knowledge is passed on to me. I will bring stories that I heard from my father. As a method, I drew some passages. I will bring here the illustrations, transcriptions of speeches about transformation and protection that, for the moment, have not been translated. I will report the first moments of the materialization of the body.
